"Side winder" lateral hydraulic support legs for winching The "Side winder" combined stabilization and anchoring system is fully hydraulic and is positioned behind the driver's cab on the subframe. The system is totally independent, and the support legs are extended laterally off-centre by rotating. The extendable support legs are moved so as not to interfere with the wheels of an 8x4 lorry, and the bases can be locked into 2 positions : notched bases, or support plates. The "Side winder" system considerably increases the stability of the recovery vehicle, particularly for lateral winching. A "Side winder sumo" option (weight 560 kg) is available, where each support leg is equipped with an independent 15 ton winch.
